Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting history to the Cambodia casinos that sit just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling hall gaming is not legal. Eight gambling dens are established in a generally tiny location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling dens is in an excellent spot, a 3 to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The phenomenal capital acquired from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a couple of limitations requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; although, financing sources are cryptic. The borders are formally open from 0900 to 17:00, and though visas are apparently needed to cross, there are methods around this, as is real of many borders.

The original Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 60 gaming tables. The Naga casino never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, 4 tables of 21, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. A total of one hundred and fifty slot machines and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machines and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and 96 table games, including eighty seven punto banco (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and sixty six of the familiar table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international vacation and hotel building that highlights a number of conveniences in addition to the casino, which houses ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty slots and eighty eight tables.
